In July 2007 a male Pink Salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) was caught and killed by an angler at Boleside (and this is now recognised as the British Rod-caught record for the species). There was also a report of what was probably a further fish caught and released at Norham in the August of that year. Another has now turned up caught in the nets at Paxton on Tuesday, 2nd August and which is shown in detail on the Tweed Foundation Biologists blog see:- http://news.rivertweed.org.uk/blog/_archives/2011/8/4/4872249.html
