Remember the days are getting shorter now and the temperature can be misleading, so wear plenty of warm clothing. We have also had some rather windy days lately. Accidents can and do happen, however with sufficient care many could be avoided. Wear a lifejacket or buoyancy aid over other clothing at all times and use a wading stick. Fast moving flies can rip through skin and eyes are a particular worry so wear glasses. Carbon rods and wet lines are conductors of electricity so watch for power lines in the area, and carry your rod horizontally when walking below them. Most of all we want you to enjoy your fishing, so solicit your boatman’s advice and then take it!
