The catches this week include some nice sized fish. The river has been up and down in level for some time, but we are now approaching the time when the temperature can drop and then of course the clocks go back in the last weekend of October.
I try to keep an eye to the Tweedsmuir stats as that of course is where the river rises. This weekend the temperature is quoted at a range of 9 to 12 deg., however the following weekend temperatures of 0 to 6 deg. are forecast, so don’t forget your thermals.
There are rods available most days so have a look and get yourself on to the river.
