The headwaters were starting to rise this morning when the levels came in and the heavy rain of this morning should ease into afternoon, but the river was also colouring up. However after a frosty night last night and the rain today would you believe that some forecasts are predicting light snow this evening and temperatures dropping again. There is also a forecast of torrential rain for a while tomorrow morning in the upper reaches of the catchment which will last all day in the middle to bottom Tweed . Temperatures are to remain low, only reaching the giddy heights of 8c in the Upper Tweed and 9 or 10c towards the coast. Definitely time to hunt the neoprene’s out!
