A ‘GHOST Ship’ has made it possible for Eyemouth’s ex-harbour master Johnny Johnston to get closer to realising a 30 year dream – a sail training boat in Eyemouth.

Newly formed Berwickshire Maritime Trust has taken over the charity number of the original St Abbs Rowing Club, and Johnny Johnston and a skilled team of volunteer workers are about to start their first major project – restoring a 90 year old former Eyemouth fishing boat, the ‘Robina Inglis’.

A financial kick start for the charity has come from trust members and locals working on refurbishing the ‘Ghost Ship’ which was built in Fair Isle in 2005 in a Viking longship design for its American owner. TO read more follow the link below
