Starting dull and rainy, the rain persistent over Lothians and Berwickshire, but drier conditions developing over Dumfries and Galloway by noon spreading to all parts during afternoon. Best chance of brighter skies towards Stranraer late afternoon. Windy near east coast. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.
Tonight:
Lothians and Borders cloudy, dry initially but light rain by dawn. Dumfries and Galloway dry with clear spells and some frost and fog patches. North winds, strong on east coast. Minimum Temperature -1 °C.
Monday:
Lothians and Borders dull, wet and windy with Eastern Lothians and Borders seeing some heavier rain and strong North winds. Dumfries and Galloway drier at first but rain developing. Maximum Temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Good deal of dry bright weather with some sunny spells, also some showers which will turn wintry on higher ground later. Chilly with night frosts developing.
