One of Scotland’s favourite restaurants for anglers, The Wheatsheaf Hotel at Swinton starts serving food a lunch time from Tuesday 1st April.
Creative, Head Chef John Forrestier from Nancy, France is a seafood specialist and sources daily seafood from Eyemouth harbour, just 12 miles away. All beef is Prime Scottish, sourced from local Borders livestock who are fully traceable members of The Scottish Beef Club. All dishes are home-made using locally sourced produce, and the menu includes dishes in season wild salmon, venison, partridge, pheasant, woodcock and duck add a local taste to the menu.
The restaurant is recognised for its great food and the current winner of ‘Best Restaurant in the Scottish Borders’ at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
Lunch 12 noon – last order 3pm.
Dinner open from 6pm.
