Mick Charlton is hosting a open day on Friday 27th March at Middle Pavilion to encourage those who have not yet experienced the beat to come and have a cast and meet the boatmen. The beat near Melrose offers one mile of double bank fishing and can be fished in high or low water, with 7 pools fished from the bank or by easy wading.
The beat is offering two sessions one in the morning the other after lunch. During lunch boatman and fly dresser Colin Nicholl will be tying salmon flies suitable for the beat. Mick will discuss lines and rod length suitable for Middle Pavilion.
Anne Woodcock FishPal’s Marketing Director will also be there to help during the day.
Morning Fishing 9.30- 1pm
Salmon Flies with Colin Nichol 1.00- 2.00
Afternoon Fishing 2.00-5.00pm
