The Tweed Foundation are hosting a free seminar on Wednesday 14th December with guest speaker Dr Holst, a Norwegian fisheries scientist.
Radical shifts are taking place in Tweed’s Salmon stocks, the like of which most of us have never experienced before. The complexity of the Salmon’s life cycle makes pinpointing the source of the problem challenging: are these changes related to previous cycles, or issues out at sea or, an as yet undiscovered issue?
Dr Holst studies the North Atlantic as an ecosystem, looking at all its fish species and what these feed on rather than just salmon by themselves – come and hear what he has to say about the changes going on there and how these affect the salmon.
Wednesday 14th December 7pm at Ednam House Hotel, Bridge Street Kelso
