Tweed for the last few weeks has been hit constantly by the weather, with patterns of wind, significant amounts of rain and snow.
So much so that the river has only been fishable in certain sections for brief periods of time. After a settled Autumn, December and January, it is very frustrating that we are struggling into the new season.
When the river during these short periods has settled some explosive sport has been had by angler with fish from Birgham to Rutherford beats on middle Tweed.
This week (6th March) seems to be fairing similar to recent weeks and beats to try with the current river levels are:
Moving further into the month of March if levels start to drop then beats in the Coldstream area would be worth a fish.
