From Headwater to Headland Smolt Conference 14th -15th March
This Conference is being jointly organised by The Atlantic Salmon Trust and The Tweed Foundation. It will address the key issue of improving salmon and sea trout smolt survival during the critical early stages of their migration, in rivers and in estuaries.With fewer salmon surviving at sea, it is vital to ensure that as many healthy wild salmon and sea trout smolts as possible leave our rivers. Berwick & District Angling Association are offering a discount on 2017 salmon season permits purchased before 15th March.
The association have several miles of fly only water on the Lower Whiteadder, commencing above Allanton Bridge near Chirnside down to Paxton near Berwick upon Tweed. The water is divided into six beats with prime fishing for salmon, sea trout and wild brown trout. Continue reading
